Through a newly created role, A&F Chambers are recruiting exclusively for a Finance Manager to join our client in Romford on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the board, you will be responsible for the day to day financial management of the business.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Management of income and expenditure
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Manage and analyse financial results and ensure a healthy cashflow
  • Responsible for credit control
  • Review & supervise purchase ledger, subcontractor, VAT & tax
  • Collecting, interpreting and presenting financial information
  • Purchasing overview, capital expenditure and monitoring major material purchases
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts, annual accounts and audit
  • Communicate with the external accountants regularly

Person Specification:

  • Experience in a similar role within an SME environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An organised individual with a good eye for detail
  • Analytical mind with good commercial awareness
  • IT Literate, with experience using Sage & skills in excel


  • Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5:30PM
  • Free parking
  • 20 days holiday increasing to 25 with service
  • Full time, permanent role
