AJ Chambers are currently working with a well-established firm who is seeking an Payroller, to join their friendly team. 

Main Duties

Monitoring of HMRC for any Tax code, Student loan, NI number changes

Liaising with clients regarding any changes to employee circumstances:-

New employees, leavers issuing Starter checklists and P45’s

Statutory payments – SMP, Sickness, Attachment of Earnings, Child Maintenance etc

Overtime, Bonuses

Control of Payroll systems

Processing weekly and monthly payroll

Issuing communication regarding PAYE liabilities, wage slips and payroll reports

Assessing and organising sickness and SMP/SPP/ShPP/SAP payments and leave

Claiming SMP from HMRC where necessary

Liaising with practice Partners and Management regarding changing client Directors/Partner rates of pay, coding and Closing accounts. Final salary payments (March)

Production of Year end P60’s and P35’s

Liaising with software provider

Liaising with HMRC regarding client PAYE liabilities and under/overpayments

Liaising with Debt Collection companies regarding client PAYE liabilities and underpayments where necessary

Keeping the payroll data bases up to date

Keeping up to date with all government changes to the PAYE regulations.
