A&F Chambers are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our client in Hatfield Peverel.

Reporting directly into the Purchase Ledger Manager, you will be working in a high-volume purchase ledger environment managing the Purchase Ledger cycle and large quantity of invoices.

Please note this is a maternity cover contract.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Reconciliations
  • Posting of Credit Card Expenses
  • Manual payments
  • Marketing support allocations and posting
  • Account reconciliations
  • Chasing VAT invoices
  • Process payment requests
  • Posting and analysis of the telephone bills
  • Posting purchase invoices
  • Processing credit notes

Person Specification:

  • Computer Literate, with experience using Excel
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Must be available at short notice
  • Ideally driver due to location


  • Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM
  • Full time, 12 month maternity cover contract
  • Salary negotiable depending on experience
